While there are many factors to consider, one of the most fun parts is attending a wedding cake tasting! Here are some tips to help you make the most of this exciting experience: Taste a Variety of Flavors
Be sure to try a variety of flavors, both classic and unique. This will help you narrow down which types of cakes you like best. And, don’t be afraid to ask for seconds or thirds if there’s a flavor you really love!
Consider Your Wedding Theme Your wedding cake should complement your overall wedding theme. For example, if you’re having a rustic affair, consider a naked cake with fresh fruit or flowers.
Or, if your event is more formal, opt for a traditional tiered cake with intricate frosting designs. Think About Portions When tasting different sizes of cakes, pay attention to how many servings each one provides.
This will be important when deciding on the size of your final cake. Keep in mind that weddings often have other desserts in addition to the cake, so you may not need as large of a cake as you think! Take Notes As you try different cakes, take notes on what you liked and didn’t like about each one.
This will come in handy when it comes time to making your final decision. And don’t forget to take photos for reference too! Relax and Enjoy Yourself! Last but not least, remember that this is supposed to be fun! So relax, enjoy yourself – and let the Cake Tasting commence!

How to Make a Dalek Cake?
This time we will be showing you how to make a Dalek Cake. For this cake you will need 1 8×8 inch square cake, 6 cupcakes, 1 large marshmallow, black fondant, silver fondant, blue food coloring and a toothpick.
Start by baking your 8×8 inch square cake and 6 cupcakes.
Once they are cooled, cut the square cake in half so that you have two rectangles. These will be the sides of your Dalek. Next take your large marshmallow and cut it in half lengthwise.
These will be the front and back of your Dalek’s head. Now it’s time to start decorating! First cover the entire body of your Dalek with black fondant.
Be sure to smooth it out as best as you can so there are no lumps or bumps. Once the black fondant is in place, take your silver fondant and roll it into thin strips. These will be used for the detailing on your Daleks’ body.
Start at the bottom of each side panel and work your way up in a spiral motion until you reach the top. Then do the same thing on each end panel. For the head portion, first add some blue food coloring to white fondant to get a light blue color.
This will be used for the eye area on each side of the head. Cover one half of the marshmallow with this light blue fondant then add two small circles of black fondant for eyes.
This couple’s wedding cake was inspired by their mutual love of the sci-fi show Doctor Who. The top tier of the cake was designed to look like the TARDIS, while the bottom tier was decorated with a Dalek motif. The couple even had a custom topper made featuring themselves as the Doctor and his companion.
